2020 Spring Season Postponed

“The theater is the only institution in the world which has been dying for four thousand years and has never succumbed. It requires tough and devoted people to keep it alive.”
– John Steinbeck

Hello, Friends. We hope you are safe, healthy, and well.

Like everyone in our community, Fox Country Players has been closely monitoring the reports and updates on the coronavirus (COVID-19) and doing our best to responsibly respond in a rapidly changing environment. Our priority is the health and safety of our community.

Our partnership with Waubonsee Community College is more important than ever, and we are extremely grateful for their commitment to the safety and well-being of their students, employees, and community members as we all work together through this unprecedented situation. As reports began to emerge regarding the spread of the coronavirus, FCP immediately modified our rehearsal policies and safety precautions to ensure our cast and crew’s safety.

As the situation evolved, Waubonsee decided to close their Sugar Grove campus. Because of this change, and to promote the safety and well-being of our cast, crew, and audiences, FCP has postponed our spring production of Into the Woods that was scheduled for April 24 – May 3. When the Waubonsee campus is safe to re-open, we have every intention of re-scheduling this magical show. We feel that the Arts are a binding force that can inspire and encourage people in the most trying of times. We hope to provide this outlet as soon as we can.

Until then, please remain vigilant in your safety practices and reach out if you need help. Community is at the heart of everything we do – we’ll get through this together.

All the best to you and your families,

Jen Whittington, President
