Fox Country Players is excited to announce auditions for our next cabaret show, “Backwards Broadway.” Performers will sing solo, small group, and full cast numbers that are “backwards.” Young people sing songs written for old people! Women sing songs written for men! Nerds sing songs written for jocks! 

This year we’re trying something a little different: auditions will be in November (more details below). You’ll get casting results and receive your song assignments by late November/early December, and rehearsals will start in January. Performances are February 7 & 8.

What’s the time commitment for performers? You’ll only be required to attend 2- 3 rehearsals, but you’re welcome to come to more if you want extra help! (We’ll also give you rehearsal tracks to help you practice on your own.) There is a mandatory dress rehearsal on the afternoon of February 7, before our first performance. 

Auditions will be Wednesday, November 19 from 6:00-9:00 pm and Saturday, November 22 from 1:00-4:00 pm at The Bit Theater (4034 Fox Valley Center Dr, Aurora, 60504). Auditioners should prepare 1-2 minutes of a song of their choosing. Please be sure to reserve a time slot (walk-ins will be seen as time allows). Open to performers 14+ years old.
